The first years of life are a remarkable time in the life of little ones.  During these formative years children develop their penance for learning.  At Brilliant Star Childcare, we believe how children are taught matters.

Brilliant Star Childcare uses The Primary Brain curriculum.  This curriculum is among those selected by the State of Georgia as effective for “quality learning environments.”  It empowers children to become confident, successful, lifelong learners.

Learning happens best by first ensuring that children feel emotionally and physically secure in their classroom environment.  Once secure, child-initiated learning is encouraged through the open set up of the classroom.  Each area is designed to advance language acquisition as well as social, emotional, cognitive, and physical knowledge. Our preschool classroom is organized into centers (Dramatic play, Math, Science, Reading, and Arts). Students explore each of the 5 centers daily through carefully planned lessons.

The Primary Brain Curriculum focuses on topics that interest children such as trees, balls, plants, and animals.  It is flexible and adaptable to the needs of our budding scholars.  To that end, our qualified teachers are able to adapt the curriculum to fit the needs and  learning style of each individual child. It also offers guidance on pacing and acceleration for gifted learners.
